Work Experience

Data Research Analyst - Center for Excellence | Texas A&M University:

  • Captured patterns and trends within large datasets by applying Python for data wrangling, data profiling, EDA, data transformation, data cleaning, and feature engineering. Ensured the quality of large datasets ~ 2 M records.

  • Determined areas for improvement in traffic operations by conducting in-depth statistical analysis using Python, uncovered accident hotspots, and optimized traffic officer deployment to reduce road accidents by 15%.

  • Achieved +80% prediction accuracy for Regression, ARIMA, and Exponential Smoothing models by utilizing SQL, Python & Excel (Power Query, VBA & Macros) to address missing data, data format, outliers, and duplicates issues.

  • Reduced the time required to tell the data story from 3 hours to 10 minutes using Tableau dashboards.

  • Boosted class performance by 18% through coaching and monitoring 50 students in implementing Python to create ETL automated pipelines for large datasets containing +200 K records and visualizing the results via MS Power BI.

  • Prioritized tasks for an 8-person development team through cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders. Gathered requirements, use cases, user stories, and project objectives to ensure effective project planning and execution.

  • Helped our client plan a strategy to expand their business and optimize their profits by performing prompt engineering on AI tools, gathered data on 1000 incubators and accelerators.

  • Harvested articles for sentiment analysis using Python (Beautifulsoup). Automated scrapping of 200 sub-links.

Operation Analyst Engineer - Industrial Complex | Jordan Phosphate Mines Company:

  • Engineered ad hoc data marts and optimized SQL queries to integrate data from SCADA systems, Preventive Maintenance, and Operation Departments, to monitor equipment performance. Achieved a remarkable 22% reduction in downtime.

  • Generated purchase order waves, by utilizing inventory KPIs, time-series data, Power BI, data marts (SSMS), ABC Analysis, and XYZ Analysis. Forecasted spare parts requirements and reduced shipping costs by 9%.

  • Performed cost analysis in MS Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Charts) and analyzed tender bids averaging up to $500,000 per bid to decrease project costs by 11% and improve profitability.

  • Minimized the project review cycle times by 30%, and accelerated decision-making, by facilitating cross-functional collaboration while delivering data-driven insights (MS Power BI) to a panel of directors.

  • Inspected and verified bearings and rotor clearances of the Utility's steam turbine (AEG-KANIS VE40 model, 22 MW, 7500 RPM), resulting in a 10% reduction in vibration levels.
